Young Energetic Servants

The Children’s Ministry Team is offering a program for children aged 10 to 13 years called Y.E.S. This team is for young people who are wishing to serve in our children’s programs. 

Once the Y.E.S. Team application form is turned in, the Children’s Ministry Team will determine a placement for service based on our current needs and the young person’s special gifts. The Y.E.S. Team will serve on a rotating basis, usually every 3-4 weeks. 

• Be friendly.
• Get down to the child’s level (yes, this means sitting on the ground!).
• Play with babies and toddlers. Make “friends” with one or two and stay with them throughout the service if possible.
• Take part in singing, sharing, helping where asked with enthusiasm as a good role model.

• Pick up babies or toddlers. They may sit on your lap if you are sitting on the ground.
• Change diapers.
• Sign in or sign out any children to parents.
• Visit with friends while on duty.
• Invite others into the Nursery or Little Learners rooms who are not supposed to be there.
  
  

Come and get an application from Heather Reid or phone her at the church and then discuss it with your parents. Turn in your form as soon as possible and you will be contacted regarding training times.
