Twenty-five guys participated in a connect, grow and serve event at Eagle Bay on the weekend of October 26. We connected as we worked, played, dined, and listened. Mauricio Rosa of Promise Keepers contrasted the look of success in the world compared to what it looks like in God’s Economy over three study participation sessions. The guys cut fallen logs and split them into firewood. They painted three cabins, built shelving in the storage room, installed a whole bunch of LED lighting, installed a hardwood floor in the staff trailer, moved a lot of dirt around the grease pit and burned a huge pile of debris. In one day, the guys donated what would be six weeks work for one guy. And on Saturday evening relaxed and told stories around the bonfire at the lake.
Thursday mornings, fifteen guys meet at the church either at 6:30am and or at 7:00am. We are committed to bible study and prayer, including prayer for our pastors and staff.
