In response to the evacuations in Merritt, we have been in contact with ESS to determine the best way we can help meet the needs of those seeking refuge in Kamloops.
While we wait, please be praying for all of the individuals and families who have been displaced from their homes at this time.
Urgent Volunteer Opportunity:
The Salvation Army continues to need volunteers for the next 2 - 4 days, as part of their food truck at ESS (MacPark). If you are able to help, Captain Kelly has asked that you register at the link below and click on "Volunteers".
Clothes and Supplies for Evacuees:
"As a result of the devastating flood damage in the Interior, The Mustard Seed Kamloops' Thrift Store would like to donate clothing and any other necessary supplies to evacuees temporarily living in Kamloops for as long as the evacuation order is in place. Please bring proof of a Merritt residency with you to the store. Our Thrift Store is located at 342 Seymour St and is open from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Mon. - Fri., and 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. on Saturdays."
